Analyze 23.3 is here. Packed with a range of new features.
This release adds brand new features to the CS Suite such as Media Descriptions and a new classifier in Griffeye Brain. To streamline your workflow further, we’re also introducing Case access rights and a web tool for bouncing unknown files or hashes.
We trust these improvements will elevate the quality of your work as well as broaden the ability to collaborate across cases. Take a look at some of the release highlights.
New feature – Reuse and share Media descriptions across cases
In certain legal situations, investigators must provide detailed description of the content in images and videos for court proceedings. The new Media Descriptions feature enables the reuse of these descriptions across cases and facilitates sharing among investigators as the the description can be saved within the GID. This feature not only enhances the quality of work related to mental health concerns but also significantly saves time for end users.
Initially available in CS Operations and Enterprise. Planned to be implemented in DI Pro later this year.
Case access rights in CS Operations
This is a security feature that has been requested by many of our customers. Even though you are part of the same organization, not every investigator should have access to all cases. We want to make it possible for a single installation to support multiple cases, but also add the ability to limit access to specific individuals or teams.

Improved filtering and search capabilities with new classifier in Griffeye Brain
Griffeye Brain now includes an upgraded image classifier to enhance filtering and search capabilities. With Brain Media Types, you can quickly locate relevant files during investigations and filter out irrelevant ones.
Brain Media Types categorize images into groups such as Photorealistic, Illustration, Screenshot, Rendered, and Trivial. Screenshots are further classified as Chat Dialog or Other Screenshot. Images that can’t be categorized are marked as ‘Undetermined.’
This enhancement in Griffeye Brain streamlines the process of identifying and managing important files in your investigations, making it faster and more efficient.
Available in CS Operations and Enterprise.

Perform cross-case queries directly from the web browser
CS Enterprise users can now query an unknown file to check if it already exists in the system and access available information (e.g., EXIF data, categories, etc.). A comprehensive tool that can be accessed directly from the web browser. In CS Operations, you can query against ongoing cases, while in CS Enterprise, you can perform cross-case queries for both ongoing and historical cases, including files and hashes via the GID.
Available in CS Enterprise. Limited functionality in CS Operations.
As always, you can find the full list of changes and updates in the release notes on the Griffeye User Portal.
