“Most people in the law enforcement community don’t give up easily and get so involved in the case that they don’t take time to take care of themselves.”

Anthony has been a full-time law enforcement officer for 19 years. He has worked patrol for 10 years, being a field training officer, and a School Resource Officer. He is currently a Detective with primary responsibilities of computer forensics, cell phone forensics, video forensics, and Internet Crimes Against Children investigations.

Anthony has obtained various certifications related to cell phone and computer investigations, and he also volunteers with IACIS (the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists) by developing and teaching sections of their Basic Forensic Computer Examiner course.

What is your favorite feature in Griffeye Analyze, and why?

My favorite feature is the ability to scrub through a lot of videos very quickly. I believe this feature is unmatched by any other tool I have worked with. It has proved very useful not only in Child Sexual Abuse Material cases but also in reviewing surveillance video while investigating other crimes.

What wellbeing feature in Griffeye Analyze do you feel is most important when it comes to protecting your mental health?

The take a break feature is the most important to protecting mental health. Most people in the law enforcement community don’t give up easily and get so involved in the case that they don’t take time to take care of themselves. The take a break timer is a great reminder to get away from the screen, stretch, take a quick walk, and give your brain a break as well.

What is the best thing about being a trainer for Griffeye?

I love being able to meet new people and share information about a great tool. The information shared will help them with their caseloads and bring people who prey on children to justice.

What is your most used keyboard shortcut?

The “+” key is the most used shortcut to mark items in the current view as non pertinent. I am actually surprised my + key is not worn out yet.

What courses do you teach?

I am currently teaching blocks of the Griffeye Analyze Examiner Course.

What is the most common question/comment you get when teaching Griffeye?

The most common comment is the amazement when people realize how quickly they can sort through a lot of media files.
