Griffeye opens US subsidiary to meet demands in the North American market
Bringing new and existing customers dedicated North American support and service
Gothenburg, Sweden, 31 March 2017 – Griffeye has opened its first subsidiary outside of Sweden, Griffeye Inc., that will be located in the greater DC area. The aim is to meet the needs of its customers in the rapidly growing North American market. This marks an important step in the growth of the company, strengthening customer relationships and ongoing development partnerships as well as creating the opportunity to develop new business and explore new markets.
Griffeye Director, Johann Hofmann explains the thinking behind the new, local presence:
“The US market in particular is a key market for us and the Griffeye Analyze platform. We’ve already made great progress and developed several important relationships and partnerships, such as our involvement in the development of Project VIC. Getting even closer to these partners and being able to offer even more support and service to our North American user community became a priority for us.”
With a local US presence, there will be an increased ability to meet new customers within law enforcement and explore new markets such as national security and defense where the Analyze platform offers great potential for investigators.
Another benefit will be the opportunity to offer more user training, which is a key focus for Griffeye.
“The tools within Griffeye Analyze are built with the user in mind, so they’re easy to use,” says Johann.“But they also have great power. With training, users quickly get to grips with the full functionality and they can become much more productive. And, most importantly, get better and quicker results in their investigations.”
Heading up the new office is Rey Navarro. Rey has more than a decade of experience within digital forensics as well as extensive contacts throughout the law enforcement, military, and intelligence communities. In addition, he is President of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA), an international community of criminal investigators and industry partners whose aim is to educate and collaborate for the prevention and investigation of high-tech crimes.
“I have the right tools in my toolkit to take Griffeye to the next level in North America,” says Rey. “And I am truly honored to lead Griffeye’s first subsidiary outside of Sweden – and to be at the forefront of a big step in Griffeye’s history. There’s a huge demand over here, not to mention a loyal following that has been eager for us to do this.”
